GREAT Resource book I have been doing keto for a year know. I've read a ton of information about keto and listen to keto poscaat as well. This is book is well written and is such a great resource book! She explains the ketogenic way of eating very well, provides 3 different paths to take to be successful and it has a ton of recipes. It's like getting 2 books in one....an informational book and a cook book! I initially bought the kindle version but loved it so much that I also bought the printed version! This is excellent for beginners as well as experiences ketogenic dieters!Tedious, awful flavor recipes I have grown to love the Keto way of eating, and it all started with this book. I read the awesome reviews, got fired up, bought the book, planned to start the Keto track for beginners on a Monday, went grocery shopping. Then I actually LOOKED at the recipes. Day 1: coconut breaded chicken with spinach, chopped celery and homemade ranch. This book is definitely made for the person with a ton of time to waste, flipping to the page referenced in the weekly menu for lunch, only to discover that the main recipe has 2-3 additional recipes you have to flip to as well to make that recipe.Like this one, home made ranch, which nutritionally matches the store bought, and seasoning mix. Instead of all the ingredients and instructions for that one meal being listed in one spot, you are stuck flipping all over the book, for one meal. One page for the chicken for lunch, one page for the seasoning for the lunch and another page for the ranch for the lunch. Lunch was, let me tell you, disgusting. Spinach celery salad went straight into the trash at lunch time after 2 bites of trying to make my way through it. The chicken was good, but after seeing the rest of the recipes were this tedious for the rest of the week, I went flipping to see if there was a redeemable recipe in the entire book. I made a fateful discover. SHE DOESN'T USE DAIRY. So for all you have heard about Keto being the easiest thing you will ever do, flush that right down the drain with this book, as you are forever making things you can easily buy (mayo, ranch) and everything tastes awful.Point in case: pancakes. The web is full of keto friendly pancake recipes, so this book decided to take a stab at it. See the attached photo. Ingredient #1: pork rinds. Nope. Not doing that. I'm not wasting money on additional pork rinds for freaking pancakes because you decided to try and be different. And after the quality of the rest of the recipes, I'm willing to wager it would be disgusting. I closed the book, threw it in the donation pile, and have never looked back. Goodbye weird Keto book, it's been smooth sailing since you left!I’ve tried them all...BUT THIS ONE WORKS!!!! This book has become my bible. I’m in my mid sixties and my weight gain hit me hard. I’ve tried every diet there is but instead of dieting now...I just eat a certain way. Who knew fat was good for you! Now I eat and truly enjoy my food. I don’t eat just chicken breast anymore...I GET TO EAT DARK MEAT! Avacados...go for it. The weight is dropping and I’m never hungry. I can go to any restaurant and find the right food to eat. Do I order pasta at an Italian restaurant...NO...I’ll order lamb chops, a steak, fish.Do I fall off sometimes...sure I do. But it’s so easy to pick right back up. I’ve lost 10lbs and can’t be happier because I’m truly enjoying food again. Just remember...slow and easy wins the race. Thank you Leanne for changing my life.
